Brief Family History: Elliot and Nicole Buble grew up in Bath, England and want the same for their daughter, Layla. Born in the dead of summer, Layla was brought up with the best of the best. She attended Kingswood Prep School, as well as at home. She was always slightly below average in her classes while at Kingswood , her strengths laying in the art classes and her time spent outside. but she always managed to scrape by. Her father took it upon himself to teach Layla French, just as he had learned when he was little. It was slow going, but Layla was brought up on both languages. It took her longer to begin speaking, but she is bilingual. Her father also educated Layla on birds, his pass time is bird watching and often he would bring Layla along with him. Layla is a strange storage bank of information on different types of birds. She has two canaries at home named King and Queen.
In addition to schooling, Layla was enrolled in a social group for children. Meant to build her social skills and make her a more outgoing and confident person. She would attend meetings every so often, and while it did help build some social skills, Layla still has a hard time actually being social. While ready and willing to speak with other kids her age, Layla's problem is going about it the right way. She has the tendency to think that people are birds, and if they really remind her of one, she'll toss bread at them to see if they'll eat it. She doesn't say the right thing at the right time, almost ever. It's normally the wrong thing at the wrong time. It's a little hard for her to make friends, but she does manage to hold a conversation sometimes. Even if it is severely random.
Layla is spoiled, very much in the sense of the word. She is rarely ever told 'no' by her parents. And for the most part has always gotten what she wanted. Layla has always seemed to need some sort of consistency in her life, and it came in the form of her getting what she wanted when she asked for it. She has a lot of high end, expensive possessions that she probably won't ever use more than once, and tends to just hand them off like it's nothing. Layla isn't really aware that her family is wealthy, just that she gets what she asks for. It still makes her a little pretentious and stuck up nonetheless.
Strengths (Including Personality and Academic): She is very creative and imaginative. Having ten different thoughts at once may seem like it would hinder her learning ability, but instead it aids in her problem solving. She has a fountain of ideas waiting to come out, and works really well in groups. Layla is very flexible, because she considers so many options at once, she doesn't get stuck on one thing early and is open to many different ideas. Layla is enthusiastic about, well, everything. She's lively and a lot of fun to be around. Layla has a lot of energy and rive, when she's motivated she works and plays hard. She strives to succeed, and it may actually be really hard to distract her from a task that she finds interesting. Layla would probably be most interested in Herbology, Potions, Care of Magical Creatures and Divination, and has the potential to suceed well in those subjects. Those particular classes have the tendency to change frequently in classwork, as well as homework and she has the possibility to show her creativity in those classes.
Weaknesses (Including Personality and Academic): Layla is inattentive, hyperactive and impulsive. She doesn't always pay attention to details, can make careless mistakes and is easily distracted. If she isn't motivated; Layla will fidget and squirm endlessly, and has trouble staying focused on what she's doing. Often, she appears not to listen when being spoken to, and it may seem like she is being disobedient when she really isn't. Layla frequently loses or misplaces things like homework, books and personal items. She also gets bored with some tasks before completing them. She has the tendency to be a little disruptive in situations where sitting quietly is expected, though this isn't consistent. She's always on the move, and likes to run or climb things at inappropriate times. Layla also talks excessively, getting her to be silent can prove to be a difficult task at times. She often interrupts people, will blurt out answers in class without waiting to be called on or before she hears the whole question. She also tends to say the wrong thing at the wrong time. She is unable to keep powerful emotions in check, which can result in an angry outburst or tantrum. Layla would have a difficult time in classes like Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Muggle Studies, Astronomy and History of Magic. These are classes that may often require her to sit still, be quiet and do book work or repetitive practical things. She would have a hard time focusing and finishing some work given to her.
What House You Feel Your Character Belongs In and Why:I feel that Layla belongs in Slytherin. Even though she has problems focusing most of the time, she is a very ambitious girl and could be a very good leader if given the chance. Her creativity and determination when she is focused, really makes her step up to the plate and shine. Because Layla thinks about one thing in many different ways, she proves to be very resourceful. Also, due to the fact that she is a tad spoiled, Layla tends to think more for herself and what she can gain from something, than she does for others.
